Case confirmed by Pasteur Centre<\/h2>\n

In a statement dated April 24, 2026<\/strong>, the Regional Delegate of Public Health for the West Region<\/strong>, Dr Tchatchoua Kamleu Patrick<\/strong>, announced the confirmation of an Mpox case<\/strong> in the Bafang Health District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Laboratory confirmation was carried out by the Centre Pasteur<\/strong>, leading to the immediate activation of a regional health alert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Strengthened surveillance across the West Region<\/h2>\n

Following the confirmation, health authorities have reinforced epidemiological surveillance systems<\/strong> across all health districts in the West Region.<\/p>\n
