Mrs Tsobeng Rose Minette n\u00e9e Fofi\u00e9 Mbouedia has officially assumed duties as Principal of Government Bilingual High School Bayangam, Koung-Khi Division, West Region of Cameroon. She was installed on April 27, 2026, during a ceremony chaired by the local administrative authority.<\/p>\n

Official handover ceremony<\/h2>\n

The esplanade of Government Bilingual High School Bayangam<\/strong> hosted the official handover ceremony on April 27, 2026<\/strong>, under the chairmanship of Mr Mfopou Aliyou<\/strong>, Senior Divisional Officer for Bayangam Subdivision.<\/p>\n

The event drew a large audience, including education officials, school heads, colleagues and relatives, reflecting the importance attached to the leadership transition.<\/p>\n

\n

Appointment backed by ministerial decision<\/h2>\n

Mrs Fofi\u00e9 Mbouedia\u2019s appointment follows Decision No. 122\/26\/MINESEC of April 16, 2026<\/strong>, signed by the Minister of Secondary Education, Professor Nalova Lyonga<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

She takes over from Mrs Magakoutanou Hortense No\u00eblle<\/strong>, who has been transferred to head Bangoua High School<\/strong> in Nd\u00e9 Division.<\/p>\n

A solid professional background<\/h2>\n

A graduate of the Higher Teachers\u2019 Training College (ENS) Maroua<\/strong>, Mrs Fofi\u00e9 Mbouedia brings extensive field experience gained across several regions of Cameroon:<\/p>\n

  • South-West Region<\/strong>: Government Technical High School Alou (Lebialem)<\/li>\n
  • West Region<\/strong>: Baleveng High School (Menoua) and Bilingual High School Bandja (Haut\u2011Nkam)<\/li>\n
  • Littoral Region<\/strong>: Former Head of School Guidance Services at Nyalla High School, Douala III<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Focus on discipline and academic excellence<\/h2>\n

    Her appointment comes at a time when the education sector faces growing concerns over school discipline and security<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Mrs Fofi\u00e9 Mbouedia has outlined key priorities, including:<\/p>\n

    • promoting ethical behaviour,<\/li>\n
    • and strengthening academic guidance and discipline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
