To mark World Asthma Day, the Bafoussam Regional Hospital is offering free pulmonary consultations. The initiative aims to improve access to respiratory care and raise awareness about the urgent need for anti\u2011inflammatory inhalers for people living with asthma.<\/p>\n

A public health challenge: access to anti\u2011inflammatory inhalers<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This year\u2019s theme highlights the urgent need to ensure access to anti\u2011inflammatory inhalers for all asthma patients<\/strong>. Health professionals stress that these treatments are essential to control airway inflammation and prevent severe asthma attacks.<\/p>\n

In Cameroon, asthma remains underdiagnosed, with limited access to long\u2011term treatment in many communities.<\/p>\n

\n

Free consultations at Bafoussam Regional Hospital<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As part of the campaign, the Bafoussam Regional Hospital<\/strong>, located in Kouekong along the Foumbot road<\/strong>, will provide free pulmonary consultations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The consultations will take place:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • from Monday, May 4 to Wednesday, May 6, 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    \n

    The hospital is also offering:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • up to 50% discounts<\/strong> on spirometry tests<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • reduced prices for chest X\u2011rays<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      These exams are key for diagnosing and monitoring respiratory diseases, including asthma.<\/p>\n
