Dschang Cliff: West Region Governor inspects road works nearing completion

The Governor of Cameroon’s West Region has carried out a field inspection at the Dschang Cliff site. The rehabilitation works, led by the Ministry of Public Works, are now over 96% complete.


On-site inspection at Dschang Cliff

The Governor of the West Region visited the Dschang Cliff site in Menoua Division on Wednesday.
The visit aimed to ensure close monitoring of a key road infrastructure project.

Senior regional officials accompanied the governor during the inspection.


Local authorities involved

The inspection took place in the presence of the Senior Divisional Officer for Menoua, Itoe Peter Mbongo.
The Divisional Officer of Dschang Subdivision, Mbellan Edjenguele Max, also attended.

Dschang’s Deputy Mayor, Professor Temgoua Emile, was part of the delegation.


Rehabilitation works almost completed

The rehabilitation of Dschang Cliff is being carried out under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Works.
Officials confirmed that the project has reached an execution rate of 96.04%.

A representative of the construction company said full completion is expected within two weeks, weather permitting.


Environmental measures and restored traffic flow

Traffic has already resumed smoothly for all categories of vehicles.
In addition to roadworks, environmental protection measures were included in the project.

These include the planting of 400 square metres of Chinese bamboo to stabilise slopes and prevent erosion.


Focus on safety and mobility

Through this inspection, the governor reiterated his commitment to road safety.
Ensuring smooth mobility for residents and road users remains a top priority in the West Region.
